Adam Barton is a £1million target for Stoke City Football Club.

The 20-year-old is regarded as a fine talent at Preston North End, and he was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool during the course of last season.

Barton, who has played for Northern Ireland at full international level and then the Republic of Ireland Under-21’s, is expected to quit the Whites after their relegation to League One.

And the Daily Mail claims Tony Pulis is prepared to offer the midfielder a shot at the Premier League, with the Stoke boss lining up a £1million bid for his signature.
