Richard Wright hopes to earn promotion with Preston North End next season.
The former England international goalkeeper, 34, has joined the League One club following his release from Ipswich Town at the end of last season.
Wright, who has also played for Arsenal and Everton amongst others, is now hoping to help the Lancashire side clinch promotion to the Championship next term.
"I didn't want to come there just to carry on my career, I wanted to carry on winning,” he told the official club site. "I've been fortunate enough to win things in the past.
“I want to win things in the future. I want to be on that pitch playing week in, week out and make sure that we get Preston back up to where they belong."
