Liverpool win race for Rangers starlet
Liverpool Football Club have won the race for Raheem Sterling.
The 15-year-old Queens Park Rangers midfielder has been chased by the two Manchester clubs and Arsenal, but the Anfield club have swooped to take him for an undisclosed fee.
"The success of our academy is vital to the future progress of the club and we have made clear that we will invest in outstanding young talent,” managing director Christian Purslow said.
"Raheem is a very exciting young English player whose progress was being closely monitored by many other leading clubs and I'm delighted he's joining us.”
