Rangers Football Club have confirmed their interest in re-signing Gennaro Gattuso.
The Italian legend has left AC Milan following the expiry of his contract, and he has revealed he wants to rejoin a club he played for between 1997 and 1998.
Rangers are currently in administration which forbids them from making signings, but Charles Green admits talks with Gattuso’s agent have taken place.
"Gattuso himself came out publicly and said he would love to join Rangers and that's great," Green, who is leading a consortium bid to take over the club, told the club's official website.
"His agent came over and we met with him to explain the difficulties surrounding the club. To me, it's a massive positive he wants to come."
