Everton Football Club must pay £5million if they want to sign Stephen Hunt.

The Republic of Ireland international has expressed his desire to leave Reading this summer, but the Championship side will not sell him for less than his release clause.

"That clause is still in place and we'll have to see what comes of it this summer,” Royals director of football Nick Hammond told The Post.

Let's hope you're right. £5m for Hunt would be a huge waste of an already small transfer kitty

We paid 2.2 million for steven pienaar and we play him left wing.... why would we pay 5 million for somone who would at best be pienaar's backup? Hence his posting as usual on this site, is absolute nonsense. Moyes spends any money on youngsters with potential or players who will improve the 1st eleven. end of.
