Everton tipped to move for £6.5million striker
Everton Football Club are being linked with a move for Kevin Doyle.
The Republic of Ireland international has a release clause in his contract of £6.5million, and Reading director of football Nick Hammond expects this to be met.
"The interest has been followed up strongly by a number of clubs recently and now we are waiting to see what happens," he told the Reading Evening Post.
"If the valuation is met then, in my opinion, he has earned the right to go where he wants. He is a Premier League quality striker, so it is unrealistic on our part to expect him to stay.”
Aston Villa, Stoke City and Wolverhampton Wanderers have all been linked with Doyle, but the latest reports suggest the Toffees could be in pole position to sign the 25-year-old.
