Bikey edging towards Burnley transfer
Andre Bikey is edging closer to signing for Burnley Football Club.
Sky Sports claim the Cameroon international has passed a medical with the Premier League side, who are willing to pay £2.8million to take him from Reading ahead of the deadline.
This bid falls a little short of the defender’s £3million release clause, although Royals manager Brendan Rodgers appears resigned to losing the 24-year-old.
"He has many competitors in the Cameroon squad, who he may feel will be in front of him unless he's playing at the highest level,” the Madejski Stadium club manager told the Reading Post.
"This is a World Cup year, those in the international reckoning will feel that they have to be playing at the very highest level to have a chance to go to a World Cup."
Bikey, meanwhile, is available for selection again having missed the first two matches of the season due to a suspension picked up when he was sent off last term...against Burnley.
