Chelsea Football Club have rejected a loan bid for Fabio Borini.

The 18-year-old former Bologna youth team striker is on the fringes of the first team at Stamford Bridge, and has already featured twice in the Premier League this season.

Carlo Ancelotti gave the Italian his debut as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur in September, and he also came off the bench against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

It is being reported in the Daily Star that Reading have made a loan move for Borini but Chelsea, set to lose Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou in January, turned them down in a heartbeat.
