Liverpool’s Gerrard wanted by Real Madrid
06:00 PM 15 March, 2010
Steven Gerrard is wanted by Spanish giants Real Madrid, according to reports.

The Bernabeu outfit may be in the chase to wrestle La Liga title from Barcelona this season, but their UEFA Champions League exit at the second stage has set the alarm bells ringing in the capital.

Real spent heavily last summer on the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Karim Benzema, as well as Liverpool midfield ace Xabi Alonso who cost £30million.

And this is a fee Los Blancos are said to be willing to offer the Reds again at the end of the season, in a bid to persuade them to sell their 30-year-old skipper Gerrard.

The Daily Star claim the England international is a top target for president Florentino Perez, who has also been linked with Anfield coach Rafael Benitez.

go and get him....30m is enough for him plus swap rafael vandervart...but dont think gerrad will sign it..if liverpool fail to qualify champion league adn he will off...and get rafa also..he cant win the title..his system, strategy, rotation is not good for the this big club..maybe at real madrid he will be a good manager..the La liga game is more suitable for rafa..so..hope he go for it
