"I am pleased with the performance" was roberto Di Matteo's verdict on his side's performance at Scunthorpe on Friday night.

"I don't know if it was the best game I have seen this season. I will have to watch the game again but we did well today.

“We made a few mistakes if I’m honest, a few things that I didn’t like, but generally it was a good performance and I am pleased with the boys."

Opposite number Nigel Adkins commented: "The big thing was to make sure we were in the tie before the second leg and we certainly are.

"They know we have been down there this season, beat them and beat them well. So we have a confidence that we can go there and do it again."
