Arturo Lupoli has signed for Ascoli on a permanent basis.

Fiorentina have accepted a player exchange deal for the 22-year-old striker, who ended last season on loan at Bramall Lane.

Former Arsenal forward Lupoli had been quoted as saying he would like to return to United but manager Kevin Blackwell has other strike targets, notably Manchester City man Ched Evans.
