Nyron Nosworthy is expected to join Sheffield United Football Club today.

The 29-year-old has only made ten Premier League appearances for Sunderland this season, and Steve Bruce is happy to let him go out on leave.

A number of clubs have shown an interest in the defender, including Premier League strugglers Portsmouth, and Championship promotion hopefuls West Bromwich Albion.

However, it is understood Nosworthy has opted to move to the Blades, who have been looking for a centre half since selling Matt Kilgallon, ironically to the Black Cats.
