Naysmith keen on new Sheffield United deal
Gary Naysmith hopes to stay at Sheffield United Football Club.
The Scotland international hasn’t played for the Blades since last season, when he suffered cruciate ligament damage towards the end of the campaign.
Naysmith is out of contract at the end of the season, but as he aims for a return to action next month, he hopes to earn a new deal at Bramall Lane.
"The only thing I'm concentrating on is getting fit," the 31-year-old told the Sheffield Star. "My deal is up soon and I've always maintained I want to stay here. Nothing has changed.
"I also appreciate the club is not going to do anything with regards contracts until the end of the season when we know what division we're in, which is fair enough.
“I still think I've got a lot to contribute."
