The Owls are still keen on a deal for former loan star Darren Potter but may look elsewhere to continue their squad strengthening.

The Wolves midfielder made a big impression last season at Hillsborough and the arrival of Serbian star Nenad Milijas from Red Star Belgrade at Molineux this week has pushed him further down the pecking order.

Ex-Liverpool man Potter still has a year left on his current contract however and may decide to see that out in the Premier League.
