The Owls begin what everyone connected with the club hopes will be a successful season when they jet off to Malta for a pre-season training camp.

Games against top local sides have been arranged for next week and manager Brian Laws will be hoping to have some new additions to his squad when they board the plane.

Wolves midfielder Darren Potter looks set to return to Hillsborough after a successful loan spell, while Laws is also being linked with Liam Miller and former Fulham striker Collins John.
