Brian Laws could return to Sheffield Wednesday Football Club for Mark Beevers.

The former Owls manager, who left Hillsborough in December, was appointed as the new boss at Burnley earlier this week after they moved swiftly to replace Owen Coyle.

Laws hoped to add to his squad in the January window as he looks to beat relegation worry, and the Daily Mail claim he could return to Yorkshire for Beevers.

The 20-year-old defender has started nine times for the Championship strugglers this season, and has in the past been linked with Tottenham Hotspur.

However, the link with Harry Redknapp’s side has faded since the Mirror reported on it last month, and now Burnley could be about to swoop.
