Paul Simpson expects out-of-contract pair Ben Davies and Kelvin Langmead to stay with Shrewsbury.

The duo impressed as Shrewsbury reached the League One play-off final only to lose out to a last-gasp Gillingham winner.

"I don't know of any definite League One interest in either of the players in question and I believe there has been a lot of talk and hype around the situation," Simpson told skysports.com.

"The fact that both players are still talking to us about signing on for next season tells me that they obviously haven't received any better offers.

"I'm confident that they will be here mainly because they are still talking to us, but nothing is certain until they sign new deals here."
