Shrimpers could net Hornet front-man
04:00 PM 12 May, 2009
20-year-old Theo Robinson impressed during a loan spell at Roots Hall but he still has two years to run on his contract with the Hornets.

Robinson scored seven times for Southend during his loan spell and admits his future depends on his current employers.

"It's too early to know what's going to happen and I certainly don't know at this stage," he told Southend's official website. "The most important thing to me is just that I'm playing first-team football again.

"Going to Southend gave me another taste of that which I enjoyed but I need to speak to Watford and also my agent to see what they have in mind for me.

"I really enjoyed my time with Southend. It was a good loan spell, though, and the team did well too. I'd be quite happy to go back but I'm really not sure what will happen."

Perhaps brooksy should check his facts. Watford finished 13 in the Championship this year after a good end to the season. I'm sure Watford will want to keep as many of their accademy stars as they can as they look to off-load the more expensive flops.

With Watford being relegated to League One, I would think they would want to keep a proven League One scorer. I do not know if they can give Robinson first team football though; I am unfamiliar with their squad.
