Jean-Yves M’voto is expected to return to Southend United Football Club this week.

The young defender joined Sunderland in the summer of 2008 from Paris St Germain, and he is rated as a potential Premier League star of the future.

Steve Bruce loaned him out to Southend at the start of the season so he could gain valuable first team experience, but the player made just four appearances before picking up an injury.

M’voto then returned to the Stadium of Light to recover, but as he approaches full fitness, he is expected to return to Roots Hall to complete his six-month loan agreement.
