Southend's 2-0 loss to MK Dons leaves them five points of the play-off places with four games left to play.

The Dons Mark Wright headed in Stephen Gleeson's right-wing cross after they had soaked up early Southend pressure.

Dons goalkeeper Willy Gueret denied Theo Robinson and Southend's Lee Barnard also had a header cleared off the line.

But the Shrimpers' fate was sealed in injury time Gleeson by Wright's second, stroked home from just inside the box.
