Preston boss Darren Ferguson has revealed: "I'm going to sign [Barnsley's] Iain Hume, subject to a medical, on Friday in a 93-day loan deal with a view to a permanent deal.
"He's got good experience in the league, he can score goals in this league and can play right wing, left wing and up front. He's a good player."
