Cash-strapped Stockport have sold 26-year old midfielder Leon McSweeney to Hartlepool.

The Irishman joined County from Cork City in 2007 and became a regular member of their side, scoring five goals this season.

His departure follows Tommy Rowe's move to Peterborough earlier this week and after Stockport's descent into administration.
