Administrators in charge at Stockport say they are in talks with a number of parties interested in buying the League One outfit.
Joint administrators, and directors at Leonard Curtis, John Titley and Paul Reeves, told the Stockport Express: "We are currently in discussion with a number of interested parties who have expressed an interest in the club.
"We are encouraged by the level of interest shown and the discussions that have taken place so far.
"At this point we are not in a position to disclose any details, but we will issue further updates as developments are made."
Several players have left Stockport following the departure of Jim Gannon and the deduction of ten points for entering administration.
