Huddersfield are keen on signing Stockport County striker Oli Johnson but face stiff competition.
Johnson scored six goals for the Hatters last season and is also being tracked by Leeds United and Scunthorpe United.
The 21-year-old signed for Stockport from Nostell Miners Welfare at the beginning of the 2008/09 season.
He recently impressed on a weeks trial at West Brom and has a further trial at Premiership side Fulham lined up.
