Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Sam Barnes could have a future at Manchester United Football Club.

The 18-year-old is currently contracted to League One side Stockport County, but the Reds reserve team boss has been scouting him in recent weeks.

"He's strong, reads the game well and has good pace," former United goal ace Solskjaer is quoted by the People. "I'll be recommending him to the gaffer."

Barnes was a schoolboy at United’s arch rivals Liverpool, but he could now be offered the chance to link up with Sir Alex Ferguson’s side at Old Trafford.
