Shilton backs Stoke City for FA Cup joy
02:30 PM 10 February, 2010
Peter Shilton has backed Stoke City Football Club to win the FA Cup this season.

Tony Pulis’s side have edged past York City and, more impressively, Arsenal in the competition so far, and now face a tricky trip to Manchester City for a place in the last eight.

Former Potters goalkeeper Shilton, who made 110 appearances for the club from 1974 to 1977, sees no reason why his old side can’t get past the mega-rich Blues and challenge for the trophy.

“Stoke have every chance,” Shilton told The Sentinel. “It won’t be easy against Manchester City who have some quality players, but Stoke are difficult to play against.

“With the teams left in it, you’d have to say Stoke are one of those with a chance. They are doing absolutely superb right now and I am pleased to se them doing well.”

Stoke have two chances, a dog's chance, and no chance, Behave yourself Shilton, never heard anything as far fetched.
