Gordon form causes Sunderland rethink
The form of Craig Gordon could persuade Steve Bruce to abandon his hopes of adding anew goalkeeper to his Sunderland Football Club squad in the summer.
West Ham United’s Robert Green and Tomasz Kuszczak have both been heavily linked with moves to the Stadium of Light, as the Black Cats monitor their shot-stopper situation.
However, after Gordon produced a superb performance in the 1-1 draw with Manchester City on Sunday, it is believed Bruce has called off his search for a top-class addition.
“Craig had a fantastic game,” he beamed after the match, in which only a late equaliser prevented a successive win. “He produced a number of saves to keep us in it.”
