Adam Johnson is a major target for Sunderland Football Club.

The England international is a popular figure amongst the Manchester City fans, but he has been unable to nail down a place in Roberto Mancini’s starting eleven.

Johnson, who was born in Sunderland, may consider his future at the end of the season, when The Metro claims the Black Cats will make a bid for his signature.

The former Middlesbrough winger would be guaranteed a key place in Martin O’Neill side, and a bid of around £8million may be enough to land the 24-year-old.
