Sunderland Football Club are keen on taking Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Martin O’Neill obviously knows the player as well as anyone, having managed him during his time in charge of Midlands giants Aston Villa.

Agbonlahor is under contract at Villa Park until the summer of 2015, and he has often stated that he would be happy to end his career at the club.

However, O’Neill is keen to offer the 25-year-old striker a fresh challenge at the Stadium of Light, and is prepared to offer around £12million to land him.
