Spaniard Andrea Orlandi has agreed a deal to stay for another 12 months at the club.
His previous contract expired last month but new Swans boss Paulo Sousa has persuaded the 24-year-old to sign a new one-year deal, with the option of a further year.
"At one point I thought my time at Swansea had come to an end," Orlandi told the club's official website.
"When Roberto left I didn't really know where I was.
"But I spoke to the new gaffer and he told me to come over to Swansea for a chat. He said he was counting on me and that's what I needed to hear, so I flew straight over from Spain.
"He told me I had to improve certain parts of my game and I agreed with him."
