Aston Villa are interested in taking Scott Sinclair this summer.

The former Chelsea youngster is in the final 12 months of his contract at Swansea City, who are eager to tie him to a new agreement.

Michael Laudrup is thought to have made discussions with the 23-year-old forward one of his priorities, following his appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ successor.

However, Villa have made Sinclair a top target as Paul Lambert looks to reshape his squad, and hope an offer in the region of £5million will persuade the Swans to sell.
