Edinson Cavani could be a summer option for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

The 23-year-old is currently plying his trade in Italy, where his nine goals have helped Palermo bid for a top-four finish in Serie A, which would result in UEFA Champions League football.

They could well face Tottenham in the competition next season if Harry Redknapp leads the Londoners to a similar finish in the Premier League, a position they currently hold.

The Spurs boss is already looking to bolster his squad for next term, and he has revealed he has had Cavani scouted during the course of the season.

Redknapp, who also has the likes of Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and Roman Pavlyuchenko at his disposal, though, has refused to confirm he will bid for the Uruguayan international.
