Jermain Defoe could be back in action for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club in early April.

The England international is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, and despite Harry Redknapp ruling him out for a month, the striker expects to be back much sooner.

"I think I'll be all right in around 10 days. It's not as major as people think," Defoe told the Daily Mirror. "But because I pulled up in training you have to be careful like the manager says.”

Spurs, meanwhile, kept up their charge for a top-four finish in the Premier League on Saturday with a 2-1 win at Stoke City, just hours after Aston Villa dropped two points at home.
