Jermaine Jenas would snub a sensational return to Nottingham Forest.

The 29-year-old made his name after coming through the youth ranks at the City Ground, which earned him a big-money move to Newcastle United in 2002.

Jenas is currently under contract at Tottenham Hotspur, but he has just endured the most frustrating season of his campaign having spent it injured after being loaned to Aston Villa.

It has been suggested that Forest’s new owners are lining up an audacious bid to take the midfielder back to Nottingham, but it is understood the player is reluctant to drop into the Championship.
