Free agent Antony Kay is attracting attention as Rovers prepare to lose some of their top players this summer.

“There is talk already about Antony Kay and there will be interest in him because he has been outstanding for us this season," boss Ronnie Moore told the Liverpool Echo.

“Once the result at Scunthorpe settled our fate at the weekend, a lot of agents were on the phone that Saturday night, trying to get players fixed up with other clubs.

"That’s the way of the world in football.”
