Walsall have added Premier League youngster Josh O'Keefe to their ranks from Blackburn Rovers.

O'Keefe signs a one-year deal after impressing for Blackburn's reserves and attracting interest from several clubs.

"Josh is a player that we have been monitoring for some time," Walsall manager Chris Hutchings told the cluyb's official website. "He is a young lad who wants to push on and test his ability at the next level.

"This is a chance for him to develop and go on to bigger and better things on the first-team stage.

"He is a box-to-box type player who is capable of scoring goals from midfield and is an exciting addition to the squad."
