Ishmel Demontagnac, axed by Walsall earlier in the season for disciplinary reasons, will play for the Shrimpers reserves on Wednesday night.

“Ishmel has had trials with Leeds and Charlton and now he’s come to us,” Steve Tilson told the Echo, as he prepares to cast an eye over the 20-year-old winger.

“He’s a good player and plays in a position where we are short but we’ll have a look at him this evening and then go from there.”
