Walsall lost 3-2 to Huddersfield at home on Saturday.
Walsall took the lead after Jabo Ibehre’s ninth and 10th goals of the season inside the first 27 minutes.
But long-serving Huddersfield striker Andy Booth netted twice in three minutes as the half-time approached to level things up.
Huddersfield grabbed the winner after62 minutes when on-loan Liverpool defender martin Kelly curled in a delightful shot.
Walsall boss Chris Hutchings said, "We were excellent for 40 minutes, but we have to learn from our mistakes."
"We conceded two poor goals from our point of view and I think Huddersfield must have gone in at half-time wondering how it was 2-2.
"All credit to Huddersfield. They have gone away with the spoils.
"I was pleased with the contribution of Jabo Ibehre and Troy Deeney up front because they gave Huddersfield problems, but at the end of the day we have come away with no points."
