Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have been linked with a move for Scott Loach.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper has been in impressive form for Championship side Watford, and Harry Redknapp had him watched as he kept a clean sheet against Preston North End on Saturday.

Loach has nine caps at Under-21 level for England, and he is rated as a potential long-term successor to David James when the Portsmouth number one hangs up his international gloves.

The Daily Star claim Redknapp wants the Hornets youngster to provide back-up to Heurelho Gomes, but it is believed his current employers would want as much as £6million for a deal to take place.
