West Brom's opening game of the season, against fallen giants Newcastle United, will be one of ten live Championship games shown by the BBC in the coming season.

The Baggies meanwhile have agreed a fee with Swindon Town for prolific frontman Simon Cox, now Roberto Di Matteo will have the final word on his signing.

Former boss Tony Mowbray was a big fan of the striker, scorer of 32 goals for League One Swindon last season.

Di Matteo will have seen the 22-year-old at close quarters while manager of MK Dons and if he agrees with the thoughts of the Hawthorns scouting network, will make Cox his first signing.
