Nicky Shorey has sealed his return to Reading.
The 31-year-old made his name at the Madejski Stadium during a spell from 2001-2008, which ultimately led to his move to Aston Villa that summer.
Shorey struggled to find his best form at the Midlands giants, and after loan spells at Nottingham Forest and Fulham, he joined West Bromwich Albion in 2010.
The left fullback, who has two caps for England dating back to 2007, was released by the Baggies earlier this summer, and he has now penned a one-year deal with the Royals.
