Zola not scared of Arsenal, Chelsea tests
Gianfranco Zola insists West Ham United Football Club can cause a surprise or two this month.
A 2-1 home defeat to Bolton Wanderers has kept the Hammers in dire trouble at the wrong end of the division, with just three points keeping them out of the drop zone.
United currently have 27 points and Zola feels another ten will be enough to stay up, and he hopes his side can chip away at this tally when they travel to Chelsea and Arsenal in their next two games.
“We are thinking that 37 points should be enough," he said. "I know Chelsea and Arsenal are big, big teams and big games. Probably, no-one is expecting anything from us.
“But football is strange. Last year, we got a point in both games. I am not going to go there already beaten because I know football can have surprises."
