Alessandro Diamanti insists he plans a lengthy stay at West Ham United Football Club.

The 26-year-old arrived in England during the summer transfer window, when the Hammers paid an undisclosed fee to take him from Livorno.

AC Milan were keen to sign Diamanti during the winter and are said to be keeping tabs on him now, but the midfielder insists he sees his future at Upton Park.

“It is, of course, flattering to be linked with a club that has won everything like Milan, but I hope to stay here as long as possible,” he said. “I have a five-year contract.”
