West Ham United Football Club have set their sights on a deal for Bas Dost.

The Dutch striker has enjoyed a prolific season in his homeland with Heerenveen, having found the back of the net 32 times in just 34 league games.

Dost has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Aston Villa and Liverpool thought to have been impressed with his performances.

However, it looks as though the recently-promoted Hammers could pip their top-flight rivals for the 22-year-old, with reports suggesting an offer of £7million has already been lodged.
