Allardyce desperate to land Carroll
Sam Allardyce is desperate to take Andy Carroll from Liverpool.
The England international appears to have no future at Anfield under Brendan Rodgers, who is prepared to offload him during the summer transfer window.
Allardyce is prepared to pay £2million to add Carroll to his West Ham United squad in a loan deal, followed by another £17million payment for his permanent signature next year.
It remains to be seen if the former Newcastle United striker fancies a move to the capital, but if he does, then the Hammers manager feels sure his side would stay in the top division.
"I would have probably stuck my neck out and said we would almost certainly stay up with him on board," Allardyce told The People.
