Marcelo Moreno is determined to show his quality for Wigan Athletic Football Club.

The Bolivian international striker joined Shakhtar Donetsk for €9million in the summer of 2008, but he has failed to settle in the Ukraine and will now see the season out on loan in England.

"Roberto Martinez sold the club to me and I am determined to come to England and make an impression,” Moreno told the official club website.

"I want to do everything I can to get in the team and I am now looking forward to meeting all my new team-mates and fighting for my place."
