Roberto Martinez is keen to put Wigan Athletic Football Club’s latest defeat behind him.

After a 1-0 win over Liverpool on Monday night the Latics were brought back down to earth with a 4-0 hammering at Bolton Wanderers, leaving them flirting with relegation.

Next up for Martinez’s side is the visit of Aston Villa on Tuesday evening, a match which the Spanish coach is already looking forward to.

"We wanted to build on the performance and the result of Monday but it's something we haven't been able to do all season," he told Sky Sports.

"Every time we have been in form we haven't been able to show that consistency the following week and that's a disappointment. We need to make sure we react and look forward to Tuesday."
