Vokes eager for Wolverhampton Wanderers chance
09:00 AM 04 February, 2010
Sam Vokes is eager for his Premier League chance with Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.

The 20-year-old made four substitute appearances for the Molineux side back in August, before being sent on loan to Leeds United in the Championship for the remainder of 2009.

Vokes is now back in Mick McCarthy’s squad and is happy to fight for his chance in the top-flight, having come back with renewed confidence following his stint at Elland Road.

“I’m happy to stay here – it’s great to be at Wolves t the moment and being involved in the squad every week. The gaffer has been great with me since I’ve come back,” he told the Express & Star.

“I’ve had some good feedback and hopefully that can continue. It’s just a question of competing with the other strikers for those two places up front. I’m feeling fit, fresh and raring to go.”
