Stefan Maierhofer is said to be considering his future at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Austrian international was a £1.8million summer signing from Rapid Vienna, and was expected to give Mick McCarthy’s side an extra attacking dimension.

However, the 27-year-old, who is taller than Tottenham Hotspur’s Peter Crouch, has struggled to make an impact and has just one Premier League start to his name.

Reports in the Daily Star claim Maierhofer is considering his future at Molineux, and may ask for a transfer in the summer if his situation doesn’t improve in the coming weeks.
