Bent heads to Wolverhampton Wanderers
Marcus Bent will spend the next five months on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.
The striker is well down the pecking order for places in Alex McLeish’s Birmingham City side, and he hasn’t made a competitive appearance for the Blues since April 2009.
Bent, who is out of contract at the end of the season, will now link up with Wolves until January 2011, as confirmed by chief executive Jez Moxey.
“Marcus is an experienced striker who has played plenty of Premier League football and scored goals," Moxey told the club's official website.
"He's also a different type of striker to what we have in that he's a physical presence. We needed someone after the departure of Andy Keogh and Marcus can do a job for us."
